The purpose of the Putnam County Agriculture Hall of Fame is to recognize outstanding contributions by individuals involved in agriculture. Recipients must have made a major contribution to agriculture as a result of being born in, living in, beginning or completing their career in Putnam County, Ohio.
Award recipients may be living or deceased. Nominations may be made in the following categories:
- Producer or farmer
- Agricultural-related activities: business, industry association, education, government, etc.
Completed nomination forms may be submitted to The OSU Extension Office at 1206 E. Second Street, PO Box 189, Ottawa, OH 45875 by January 30. If more space is required, an additional 8 ½” X 11” sheet may be submitted with this form. Nominations may be re-submitted in future years.
Award selection each year will be made by the Putnam County Agriculture Hall of Fame Committee. The committee decision shall be completed by February 15 of each year, or as designated by the Hall of Fame Committee. Up to four awards will be presented each year.
An event will be held each year to induct new members into the PCAHF. The date and time will be established in coordination with local events. A review of achievements and photo will be presented as each nominee is inducted, along with local media coverage related to the event.
